Band Bio
Bobby Keeler and the Boys Behind the Broad is a six piece group fronted by lead vocalist Bobby Keeler.
The “Boys” include two guitarists, a keyboardist, drummer and bassist, who also supply back up and lead
vocals. Our music of choice is blues influenced rock, featuring covers by Bonnie Raitt, Eric Clapton,
Sheryl Crow, Fleetwood Mac, Susan Tedeschi, Robben Ford, Tiny Town, Little Feat, Steely Dan, and
similar artists. We pride ourselves on strong vocals, tight instrumental arrangements, impassioned guitar
and keyboard solos, and a rhythm section that finds the groove.
Bobby is an experienced rock and R&B vocalist in the Milwaukee Metropolitan area, having worked with a
number of bands over the years, including an 8 year stint as one of the female vocalists in the popular
local group Speakeasy. During this time, she was nominated for a WAMI for Best Female Vocalist two
years in a row. She has also been a regular artist in the annual charity performance of the Sleigh Riders'
Ball, which won a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2005 WAMIs.
